Taiwan’s stock market opened Thursday with NT$11.54 billion (US$351.51 million) in turnover, while its benchmark index stood at 42,666.13, 282.78 points below its previous level, Central News Agency (CNA) reported. The figure was for the Taiwan Stock Exchange’s main index.
Turnover at the open totaled NT$11.47 billion (US$349.95 million), according to the Central News Agency.
The total rose by 64,000 in October. Investors aged 30 or younger accounted for 56.3% of new accounts.
Opening turnover totaled NT$10.20 billion (US$313.47 million).
