Four Nifty 500 shares, including Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), rose more than 3% on Oct. 22 and appeared in a technical screen tracking a move above the Relative Strength Index (RSI) 50 mark, The Economic Times reported.
The outlet named International Gemological Institute, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), ITC Hotels and Balkrishna Industries. The Economic Times is the source of the date-specific stock list and RSI readings; StockEdge’s public scan page does not publish a result for Oct. 22. The share prices in the report match National Stock Exchange of India data for that session.
International Gemological Institute had the highest reported reading, at 68.04, compared with 49.89 previously, and a price of ₹353.20. Tata Teleservices was at 63.67, versus 31.81, with a price of ₹38.01. ITC Hotels registered 54.57 after 45.79, at ₹161.83. Balkrishna Industries was just above the threshold at 50.51, compared with 39.58, and a price of ₹2,110.20.
StockEdge describes the scan as identifying shares whose RSI moves from below 50 to above it. The company says its technical indicators use end-of-day data. The Economic Times report did not specify the RSI calculation period, so it does not show the number of days used for each reading.
Separately, International Gemological Institute’s board approved unaudited results on Oct. 21 for the quarter ended Sept. 30. The company filing reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹3,980.24 million and profit of ₹1,858.44 million for the quarter.
