The next playable character in “Tekken 7” has been officially revealed, and her name is Lidia Sobieska. Aside from winning fights in the Tekken Tournament, Lidia also has a very official role as the prime minister of Poland.
‘Tekken 7’ is getting a new female fighter, and she’s also a Polish prime minister
Lidia will be one of the original fighters to be added to the “Tekken 7” roster, and she has quite a unique backstory. The official trailers do not reveal much about her background and why she needs to join a fighting tournament while also running a country. But fans can find more information about her character in exclusive promo materials Bandai Namco US sent to some online content creator.
TekkenGamer.com shared a package from the game publisher, including a letter Lidia received from Mishima Zaibatsu CEO Heihachi Mishima. It appears that the Polish prime minister has asked for the Tekken Force to be removed from Poland. Heihachi does not agree to this and taunts Lidia instead.

However, Heihachi also gives Lidia another option, and that is to participate in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. This explains some of Lidia’s in-fight dialogues shown in the latest “Tekken 7” DLC 18 trailer, including “Everything I do, I do for my people” and “I must win for the people of Poland.”
Another significant addition through the “Tekken 7” DLC 18 is a new stage called Island Paradise. Like Lidia, the arena is also an original content for the game that features a swimming pool resort that surrounds a caged fighting stage. The trailer suggests fighters can throw their opponent out of the stage that will place the latter to a beach shore. Fans were also quick to notice that Island Paradise’s background music is a nod to the fan-favorite Poolside theme from “Tekken 5.”
‘Tekken 7’ DLC 18: How to get Lidia and the new stage ‘Island Paradise’
Despite Lidia’s interesting backstory, the official trailer revealing her fight moves notes that she will not be included in the game’s Story Mode. Lidia and the Island Paradise stage are bundled for the “Tekken 7” DLC 18, which will be released on Tuesday, March 23. Fans can get the new content by purchasing Season Pass 4 for $14.99.
