A 6.2% Monday advance put Tempus AI ahead of four semiconductor stocks that also rose, making it the top gainer among the five companies cited.
SK Hynix recorded the largest increase among the chip shares, up 3.3%. Qualcomm gained 2.6%, Texas Instruments rose 1.9% and Nvidia added 1.5%.
Tempus AI’s gain was 2.9 percentage points higher than SK Hynix’s, the next strongest of the five shares.
The index doubled its minimum roster in 2016; assessing AI concentration still requires examining its holdings and their weights.
Nvidia said its technology sped up some semiconductor manufacturing simulations by up to 35 times, allowing engineers to compare process changes before committing to physical trials.
Existing leases are exempt from the condition, which Nvidia sales teams have relayed verbally since summer.
