Fans who are waiting for “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 should ready themselves as the second installment is expected to have a dark story. Indeed, Rimuru’s transformation to a True Demon Lord alone will exact a heavy price from the titular slime, MonsterAndCritics reported.
While nothing has been announced just yet, “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 will likely hit the ground running as it will probably feature a quick battle between Rimuru and Hinata on the get-go. Hinata, of course, is the person that’s been shadowing the slime in the last few episodes of the first installment.
The skirmish ended with Rimuru nearly dying, only escaping certain death after Hinata assumed he has disposed of the slime for good. Following that, Tempest will be attacked by the Farmus Kingdom. “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 will have multiple Tempest citizens dying at the siege, with Shion among those that have been killed.
Although Rimuru has gotten powerful throughout his journey, he still doesn’t possess the ability to resurrect people. It is at this point in “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 that Rimuru became a True Demon Lord, paying the price of 10,000 souls to achieve such power.
With his ascension successful, the slim managed to revive those who have fallen in the hands of the invaders and grant them new abilities. This gathering is quite foreboding since every time the event takes place, a Calamity follows shortly after. On this instance, the looming destruction is aimed directly at Tempest, with conspiracies boiling beneath the Walpurgis Banquet. Thus, it is Rimuru’s job to sniff out these conspirators. The problem is that one of them holds Milim under his thumb, sidelining one of Rimuru’s most powerful allies. However, the titular slime will successfully uncover the plot against his people and brought those responsible to the sword. As for when “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” Season 2 will be released, the series’ official Twitter page has announced its arrival sometime in 2020. Unfortunately, no specific date has been given as of this writing.
