Tesla's Bitcoin (BTC) balance stood at 11,509 coins on Sept. 30, while SpaceX disclosed only a dollar valuation for its digital assets, giving investors different levels of detail on the companies' positions.

Neither company sold Bitcoin during the third quarter. Tesla valued its digital assets at $962 million at quarter-end, with its BTC tally unchanged from June 30.

SpaceX listed digital assets worth $1.573 billion on Sept. 30 but gave no current Bitcoin count. Its most recent disclosed figure was 18,712 BTC, dated June 30.

The companies' separate June 30 filings listed 18,712 BTC for SpaceX and 11,509 BTC for Tesla. Added together, those figures equal 30,221 BTC; neither company reported a joint holding. EconoTimes previously covered the June 30 holdings calculation during a review of a possible merger between the companies.

The quarter-end dollar values do not establish a combined Sept. 30 BTC balance: Tesla disclosed a coin count, while SpaceX provided a valuation without a new count.
