Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. raised its 2026 revenue forecast Tuesday after stronger sales of three branded medicines helped counter a sharp drop in U.S. generics revenue, even as quarterly sales fell.
The company now expects full-year revenue of $16.7 billion to $17 billion, up from its previous forecast of $16.5 billion to $16.85 billion. It also raised its annual sales forecasts for AUSTEDO, AJOVY and UZEDY.
Those three medicines generated about $1.1 billion combined in the quarter ended Sept. 30, a 33% increase in local currency from a year earlier, Teva said in an earnings release furnished with its Nov. 3 SEC filing. Their growth came alongside declining revenue from generic medicines.
In the United States, generics revenue dropped 39% to $718 million. Teva pointed chiefly to increased competition for its lenalidomide capsules, a generic version of Revlimid. The company said generics revenue also declined globally.
Total quarterly revenue was $4.395 billion, down 2% from a year earlier. The decline shows that growth in the three branded medicines did not fully offset weakness elsewhere in Teva’s sales.
Teva’s gross profit margin rose to 55.5% from 51.4%. The company said a greater contribution from its innovative medicines helped improve the margin as generic sales weakened.
Net income attributable to Teva fell to $233 million from $433 million a year earlier. Teva said asset impairment charges, legal settlement costs and loss contingencies weighed on operating income.
