“That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2 is not expected to come out this year on account that the first entry has recently ended. While the series’ official Twitter page announced that the second installment will be coming in 2020, it has yet to reveal the exact date of its arrival.
There’s also no news about the plot of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2. However, it’s easy to predict what will happen next since the first installment already introduced Hinata, the person who’s been tailing the titular slime, MonsterAndCritics reported.
While this isn’t confirmed just yet, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2 might begin on an explosive note as Rimuru and Hinata are expected to cross blades. In its source material, the fight ended on a rather messy note as Rimuru nearly died following his encounter with the Otherworlder.
The only reason he managed to escape was due to Hinata’s hubris, arrogantly assuming that she has killed the slime for good. Beaten and fighting for his life, Rimuru will make limp back to Tempest only to find the Farmus Kingdom attacking his beloved country. With his emerging nation burning and hundreds of civilians dying at the hands of the enemy, the slime will be forced to become a True Demon Lord in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2.
Following that, he’ll revive those who have fallen and associate himself with other beings of his stature. Rimuru becoming a True Demon Lord will provide another headache for the easy-going character as Clayman will be plotting against him and Tempest country. After that threat has been dealt with, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2 could transition to Hinata once again.
Although Rimuru will be outclassed in their first encounter, their second bout will be different given that he has the capabilities of a True Demon Lord this time. However, it will also be revealed that Hinata isn’t what she appears to be. “That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime” Season 2 is expected to intensify the battle between the opposing forces, with their fight reaching a whole new level of destruction.
