‘The Affair’ season 3’s episode 10, titled “310,” will feature Noah struggling to work on healing his troubled relationships after everything that has happened. He is set to visit Juliette in Paris. Noah will also try to fix things with his daughter Whitney.
The synopsis for the season finale posted on TV Guide reads, “Season 3 ends with a chance encounter offering Noah (Dominic West) a possibility for healing a relationship that is in desperate need of repair, and his visit to Paris provides Juliette (Irene Jacob) with a distraction from unpleasant realities at home.”
Things have been gone from complicated to worse for Noah throughout the third season of Showtime’s award-winning drama television series. Episode 9 followed Noah facing lies and revelations building up inside his psyche for years during his time in prison.
According to the recap posted on Entertainment Weekly, the episode featured a full-on confrontation between Noah and Gunther (Brendan Frasier). It was revealed that Noah’s perception of Gunther was all made up in his mind and that the psychological and physical brutality in prison was all imagined in order to make sense of the guilt he felt after helping his own mother commit suicide.
It seems that Noah will finally work on healing his troubled relationships, beginning with Juliette. He heads to Paris to reunite with her and tell her how much she means to her.
The sneak peek clip posted on TV News and Views features Noah meeting up with Juliette at a café. The two exchange kisses and pleasantries before settling down to catch up. Noah expresses his love for the city saying, “I got so much done. I love it here. Bookstores… incredible.”
He then pulls out a Christmas present for Juliette, which is revealed to be an old hardbound book from 1868. When Juliette says that she has no words for her gratitude, Noah tells her, “You’ve been so good to me. A few months I was on the brink and now, thanks to you, I’m… I’m okay.”
Their happiness seems short lived, however, considering that another sneak peek clip shows Juliette wholly uncomfortable after her friends see her kissing Noah in public. The next scene showed Juliette confronting Noah saying, “Do you think you’re some kind of expert on affairs? Because you wrote a book?”
The promo also hints at an unlikely reunion between Noah and his daughter Whitney. When he goes to see her and calls out her name, she doesn’t seem pleased at their encounter. Even before Noah and Helen’s (Maura Tierney) divorce, Whitney already had relationship problems with her parents.
‘The Affair’ season 3’s episode 10, titled “310,” is scheduled to air on Showtime on January 29, 2017.
