“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4 will present another explosive chapter as it was already confirmed it was Liz Keene who betrayed Raymond Reddington. Yes, Liz (Megan Boone) was the one who reported Red to the police and now he is in jail.
Red (James Spader) was able to avoid the police for decades but someone tipped off the police so his freedom abruptly ends. He was apprehended just a short while after helping the FBI in stopping the bomb plot that was intended to blow up the United Nations building.
At any rate, in the previous episode of “The Blacklist” season 6, Red was shown talking to Liz and he told her that he is not worried about the jail time but the thing that is really bothering him is the fact that someone stabbed him in the back and he wonders who it could be.
Red went on to say that he feels that it was someone close to him then he asked Liz to help him find the traitor. However, without his knowledge, it was the person he is talking to who sent him to jail by alerting the authorities about his whereabouts. This is where “The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4 will pick up from when it airs next week.
Speaking to TV Line, series creator Jon Bokenkamp disclosed that it would take a while before Red finds out who betrayed him. Then again, he did not mention when Liz’s secret is going to be revealed but perhaps this will happen in “The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4.
“He knows that somebody has betrayed him. But he does not know that it’s Liz. That doesn’t mean he won’t figure that out, and if and when he does figure that out, there may be some fireworks,” he told the publication.
He added, "Liz is in this position where she needs to pretend she’s searching for a traitor in Red’s inner circle, even though she already knows who it is. She’s having to pretend that she cares deeply for him.”
In any case, “The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4 is called “The Pawnbrokers” and as per NBC, its official synopsis reads: “Red acclimates to his new surroundings in federal prison, where he is challenged by an old rival. Samar (Mozhan Marnò) goes undercover to stop a black market organization that fronts cash to criminals."
It was also mentioned that “The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4 will feature Liz and her sister Jennifer (Fiona Dourif) as they continue to search for information about Red’s past. They will try to uncover who he really is and what he did to the real Raymond Reddington.
“The Blacklist” season 6 episode 4 will air on Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
