CLEARWATER, Fla., June 08, 2017 -- In celebration of Juneteenth, an event honoring the emancipation of slaves in America, the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization is hosting a Gospel Concert at its iconic Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater on June 24th. The African American duo, Au’Niece will perform backed by the Flag Band (the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization’s band). The members of Au’Niece are the daughter and granddaughter of famous living legend and classical pianist Lillette Jenkins Wisner also known as “The Queen of the Keys”.
Pat Harney, the MC for the event and Public Relations Director for the Church said, “The Church of Scientology recognizes Juneteenth as we recognize the efforts of all those who fight for human rights and freedom from slavery.” Ms. Harney pointed to the words of Scientology Founder, L. Ron Hubbard, as her inspiration in the fight for freedom from slavery. She said, “L. Ron Hubbard said, ‘Amongst the many things man has done in his worries about the mind and his state of being, in his effort to control others, is the adoption of slave philosophies. Each person who invents or uses such a philosophy more or less tends to be, himself, exempt from the slavery thus imposed and to hold, by the invention, the force of others. This is a trick of very limited workability for it leads eventually into the entrapment of the user himself.’”
The June 24th concert at the Fort Harrison is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so please RSVP to 727-467-6860.
