Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) had the largest reported premium to its Oct. 22 session trading average among three Nifty 500 shares, The Economic Times reported from a StockEdge scan.
The outlet said the scan included shares that finished more than 1.5% above their volume-weighted average prices (VWAPs). Tata Teleservices closed at ₹38.01 against a reported VWAP of ₹35.76, a 6.29% gap. Clean Science and Technology ended at ₹748.05 versus ₹728.34, or 2.71% higher, while Devyani International closed at ₹119.35 compared with ₹117.55, a 1.53% difference. The Economic Times published the account on Oct. 23, covering the previous day’s trading.
VWAP combines transaction prices with share volume, giving greater influence to prices where more shares traded. The scan compared each stock’s close with its own Oct. 22 benchmark. Its threshold identifies shares whose closing prices stood above their session averages by more than 1.5%; it does not show their change from the previous session.
StockEdge’s VWAP scan page says its results use third-party data and advises users to check them. The platform’s FAQ says scans refresh at the end of each trading day. The Economic Times attributed the three stocks and their VWAP figures to StockEdge’s technical scan.
EconoTimes previously covered an Oct. 21 Nifty 500 screen, which named Sobha as the stock with the widest gap among four shares. That account also identified The Economic Times as the source of the screen’s results.
