The Economic Times reported Coal India shares above their 20-day exponential moving average in a Nov. 2 snapshot, days after the company filed quarterly results and declared an interim dividend.
At 12:51 a.m. ET (05:51 UTC), the outlet put the shares at ₹405.60, up 4.27%, and the average at ₹405.36, a ₹0.24 gap. The figure came from trading in progress and does not establish the session’s closing price. ET Money and Groww technical pages also listed ₹405.36; Groww says an EMA gives newer prices more influence than earlier ones.
The live blog gave ₹393.10 as the previous close, while StockAnalysis historical data recorded ₹389 for Oct. 30. The reported 4.27% gain aligns with the ₹389 figure. EconoTimes covered a separate Coal India share-price snapshot on Oct. 30.
For the September 2026 quarter, Coal India reported unaudited consolidated net profit of ₹6,547.43 crore in its Oct. 29 exchange filing, compared with ₹4,167.18 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations totaled ₹44,178.74 crore, compared with ₹36,553.07 crore. The board also declared a second interim dividend of ₹10.25 per share. The filing lists Nov. 4 as the date for determining eligible shareholders and Nov. 27 as the payment deadline; EconoTimes previously reported the dividend’s Nov. 4 record date.
