As one of the most highly anticipated series returns in TV land, “The Punisher” Season 2 has been a topic of interest within several binge-watching communities for years now. When will the show about a hardened killer who is tormented by the murder of his family and takes it out on criminals return? For now, it would seem that Spring 2019 is still the placeholder.
For those who want a rundown on what Netflix has in store for fans of the Marvel universe may want to see what What’s on Netflix has to say on the matter. Aside from the likely premiere window of “The Punisher” Season 2, the site also lists the air periods and dates of other shows on the streaming platform.
Coming back to “The Punisher” Season 2, however, it would seem that filming of the show only started in July of this year, Otaku Art reports. Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Frank Castle, which is a character that the former “The Walking Dead’s” Shane has practically made his own. The first two times that the actor played Frank resulted in phenomenal praises for his ability to bring the tortured soul to life.
As for what the plot of “The Punisher” Season 2 is going to be, it would seem that things are not as ironed out right now as fans might have wanted. The details are not as easy to obtain either, which should come as a relief. Knowing what will happen ahead of time can deflate the excitement surrounding the potential air date of the upcoming season.
Now, as for the actual story that comes with “The Punisher” Season 2, not much is known, at this point. Considering that the possible premiere window of the season is still a long way off, this is hardly surprising.
