When someone is using drugs, certain signs are being displayed. These are the signs that will enable you to find out if the person is genuinely abusing drugs. Another physical sign of drug abuse is an inflammation of the iris while at the same time the pupil appears to be bigger than usual, or a running nose that never seems to heal. The running nose symptom is likely to be experienced by drug users who sniff drugs. This is because the drugs end up weakening the nasal muscles, causing a permanently running nose. A drug addict may also start suffering from nasal problems such as sinus problems and frequent nosebleeds.
If the addict injects the drug into their blood, you will notice that they have scars on their inner arms or other parts of the body due to injections and the drug user may frequently complain of chest problems. If you happen to go through the addict’s possessions, you will be shocked to find some of the items.
These items may include razor blades, little bottles where they put their drugs, pieces of glass, and small spoons. The spoons are usually used for heating the drugs so that they can inhale the aroma that comes from burning the drug. Needles are used for injecting the drug and the razor blades function to scar their bodies so that they can insert the drug directly into the bloodstream.
