Thinkorswim users described login and loading problems Oct. 23, but the available reports did not establish how widespread the disruption was.

StatusGator listed Charles Schwab’s service as up that day, a status that did not specifically confirm thinkorswim availability. The page also displayed a Maryland user’s report that the mobile app stalled while loading and the desktop client asked for sign-in again after an update attempt.

On Reddit, u/Sammy_Dog said repeated sign-in attempts failed to advance beyond the initial stage. Other commenters also reported access problems. At 4:08 a.m. EDT (08:08 UTC), Sunday Guardian Live said its monitoring did not point to a widespread service failure.

Schwab lists desktop, web and mobile versions of thinkorswim. The company says its overnight trading window covers more than 1,100 securities for 24 hours on five days each week. The reports did not identify a cause for the access problems.
