Tom Cruise is said to be dating someone new but he is still keeping it a secret. It was alleged that the “Mission Impossible” actor and Kate Winslet have been sneaking out and secretly dating.

Tom’s unexpected new love?

New Idea reported that Tom Cruise was really impressed by the fact that Kate Winslet broke his record of staying underwater for a long time while filming. The actress was said to have shot a scene for “Avatar 2,” and now she is the current holder record-holder for an actor who can hold their breath for the longest time underwater.

Suri Cruise’s dad was the previous record-holder until Kate filmed her scenes in “Avatar 2.” The next thing that happened is that the 58-year-old actor found himself so smitten to the English actress.

The publication suggested that Tom Cruise already made his move by asking Kate Winslet out for a date. Allegedly, the two have gone out several times already and they have also discussed the possibility of working together. Furthermore, Katie Holmes’ ex-husband is said to be doing everything in his power to make Kate his leading lady in any project.

“Tom is very charming and very persuasive,” the insider told the magazine. “When he gets an idea in his head, he doesn’t let up until he gets what he wants. And right now, he wants Kate. He’s wooing her big time.”

The insider claimed that Tom Cruise and Kate Winslet were actually friends but they only rekindled their friendship recently after losing touch. Their last moments together were supposedly in 2009 when they attended the Golden Globes.

“They lost touch after that, though Tom loved when she made a big fuss about beating his underwater filming record,” the so-called source said. “He got Kate’s number from Leo DiCaprio and reached out to her and they got along famously.”

The truth - Is Tom dating Kate?

Gossip Cop explained that while it is true that Kate Winslet broke the actor’s record it is not true that Tom Cruise has been romantically pursuing her. This is clearly a false report because aside from New Idea, there no other media outlet that reported about their alleged “secret dates.”

Also, it should be noted that Kate Winslet is a married woman and still together with her husband, Edward Abel Smith. Thus, there is no way she would be dating another man and it is unlikely that she’s cheating on him!
