Toyota Motor Corporation’s global vehicle output fell 3.2% in September 2026, while sales slipped 2.2%, with both totals lower than a year earlier.
Production reached 889,079 vehicles. Factories in China produced 18.6% fewer vehicles than in September 2025, and U.S. output was down 2.9%. Japan moved in the opposite direction, with production up 5.8%.
Toyota sold 860,107 vehicles worldwide during the month. Sales increased 8.4% in the United States and 1.8% in Japan, while China recorded a 19.7% decline and the Middle East a 29.8% drop.
