Donald Trump Jr. invoked Charlie Kirk’s killing in a Tuesday voting appeal, sharing an image about being killed for speaking as the United States held its federal election.

The image carried the slogan, “Vote Like the Other Side Will Kill You for Talking.” In his caption, Trump Jr. urged followers to vote as if their lives and their children’s lives depended on it. The post did not say who he meant by “the other side.”

Hindustan Times and Mediaite described the post as an appeal to Republican voters. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) identifies Nov. 3, 2026, as the date of the regularly scheduled federal general election.

Utah’s Department of Public Safety said Kirk was speaking at an event sponsored by students and Turning Point USA at Utah Valley University when he was shot on Sept. 10, 2025. He was taken to Timpanogos Regional Hospital and pronounced dead hours later.

Utah County prosecutors charged Tyler James Robinson with aggravated murder and six other offenses. The charging information lists death or life imprisonment as possible penalties for the aggravated-murder count. Those are allegations, not a court finding. Robinson pleaded not guilty, the Associated Press reported.

The Associated Press said a judge left the trial date undecided at an Oct. 23 hearing. Another hearing is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9, the AP reported. EconoTimes previously covered Robinson’s defense request for a 2029 trial.
