Monument Mining Limited said Tuckanarra Resources Pty Ltd took their Tuckanarra Gold Project joint venture dispute to Western Australia’s Supreme Court, seeking an interlocutory injunction against a committee meeting called to select a replacement manager.

Monument said the requested order covered a Management Committee meeting set for Oct. 21, which its subsidiary, Monument Murchison Pty Ltd, had called. The meeting was intended to appoint a replacement for Tuckanarra. The application also sought to curb related steps linked to an Aug. 25 breach notice, the company said in an Oct. 20 release.

The dispute concerns an Exploration Joint Venture Agreement dated Oct. 13, 2020, Monument said. The breach notice related to Tuckanarra’s entry into a toll milling agreement with a third party, dated May 20, 2026. Monument said it believed the deal required joint venture authorization and consent from Monument Murchison, which it said were not obtained.

Monument says Tuckanarra failed to remedy the alleged material breach within the contractual period. It said Tuckanarra ceased to be manager effective Sept. 25 under clause 5.1(b)(ii) of the joint venture agreement. Monument said Tuckanarra disputes Monument Murchison’s position on the breach and its removal as manager.

Monument said both sides put temporary measures in place and set a faster timetable to resolve the dispute. It said the arrangement involved no admission about whether Tuckanarra’s removal was valid. The company also said the outcome and terms of any court orders remained to be determined.

Monument Murchison holds a 20% participating interest in the project joint venture, with Tuckanarra Resources holding the remaining 80%, according to Monument. Tuckanarra Resources is a subsidiary of Odyssey Gold Ltd, and Monument Murchison is wholly owned by Monument. The company said it supports commercially viable development and processing options, including third-party toll milling, if the partners authorize them and both sides’ rights are protected.
