Turkish consumer sentiment index falls in December

The Turkish consumer sentiment falls in December. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the consumer sentiment index fell 2.3 percent sequentially to 58.2 from November’s 59.6.

The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period dropped 2.9 percent in the month. The index fell from November’s 77.5 to 75.3 in December.

The general economic situation expectation index dropped 1.7 percent sequentially. The index came in at 76, falling from November’s 77.4.

The number of people unemployed expectation index also dropped in the month. The index fell 3.9 percent to 60.9 in December from November’s 63.4.

On the other hand, the probability of saving index rose in the month by 2.4 percent to 20.6 in December from 20.1 in November.
