SatBridge boasts the most powerful satellite phone antenna ever made, with 8x the signal strength and performance of other handheld satellite phones. It’s affordable, simple to use and highly portable, measuring about the size of a paperback book and weighing about three pounds – perfect for transporting in a backpack, keeping in a glove compartment, on a boat or in a closet for emergency situations.
“SatBridge provides the peace of mind of always being connected whether you are hiking in a remote area, boating offshore, on rural recreation activities, or even in a natural disaster,” said Paul Struhsaker, CTO of Carnegie Technologies. “SatBridge makes satellite communications accessible to anyone as an affordable, convenient way to always be in touch.”
SatBridge has been in development for nearly three years in a partnership with the Southwest Research Institute® (SwRI®), a United States defense contractor and one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development organizations in the United States. Its patent-pending automatic beam-steering antenna makes it the most powerful portable satellite hotspot on the market today.
Additional SatBridge features include:
- Extended battery life for 12.5-40 hours talk time and 65-80 standby hours
- High-performance antenna provides higher levels of gains of data speeds and range, piercing foliage and some rooftops
- Automatic horizon-to-horizon tracking, providing greater range and reliability
- Follow-Me Roaming to make and receive calls on existing phone number
- One-touch SOS button to instantly geo-locate user and send for help
- Shared link allowing 8 phones to connect simultaneously
- Allows smart phone pre-programmed phone numbers, email addresses and websites to be connected over the satellite links
Other industry uses for SatBridge include oil and gas exploration, remote mining, construction, exploration, architectural research, and more. More information can be found at www.satbridge.net and at the Satellite 2017 Conference booth #224.
