Brian Essex’s new JPMorgan coverage assigns Palantir an Overweight rating and sets a $262 12-month price target.

JPMorgan’s $262 objective is 33% above Palantir’s Wednesday close and $2 above Rosenblatt Securities’ latest target. Rosenblatt Securities raised its target to $260 from $225 on Monday, Oct. 26, and kept a Buy rating, as EconoTimes reported in its earlier coverage.

Essex linked companies’ adoption of Palantir’s software to their search for better returns on AI investments. He described AI sovereignty as clients’ ability to control the technology stack they use for AI. He also cited interest from large companies and government customers as a possible path for Palantir to gain market share.

The company is set to release third-quarter results after U.S. trading ends Monday, Nov. 2.
