Whale Alert logged two Oct. 20 deposits totaling 49,088 Ether (ETH), valued at about $120.3 million, into Ethereum’s Beacon Depositor, the contract used to enter the network’s validator staking system.
Each transaction moved 24,544 ETH. The first was recorded at 2:08:59 p.m. ET (18:08:59 UTC), and the second followed 24 seconds later at 2:09:23 p.m. ET (18:09:23 UTC). Whale Alert valued them at $60,134,504 and $60,159,274, respectively.
Both records show the same address sending ETH directly to the Beacon Depositor, although earlier addresses in the transaction paths differed. Whale Alert lists the sender as unknown. The records do not establish that separate people or entities initiated the deposits.
Ethereum describes the Beacon Depositor as the contract that accepts ETH for validator staking. The alerts record transfers into that contract but do not identify who controlled the funds.
EconoTimes previously covered three other transfers to the Beacon Depositor. They moved 24,960 ETH, 34,560 ETH and 28,320 ETH, which Whale Alert valued at about $215.3 million combined.
