Whale Alert recorded at least 13 large cryptocurrency transfers worth about $1.45 billion on Oct. 20, with Bitcoin (BTC) accounting for about $1.02 billion of the value.
Five Bitcoin transfers to an address the tracker labels Coinbase Institutional totaled about $645.5 million. Two separate transactions each carried 2,111 BTC and were valued at $175.3 million; they have different transaction identifiers. The other three carried 1,632 BTC, 1,168 BTC and 754 BTC.
Three more Bitcoin transfers, totaling about $377.7 million, moved between wallets without named exchange destinations. They carried 1,241 BTC, 1,993 BTC and 1,329 BTC. Whale Alert marked the destinations of the latter two as new wallets.
Three transactions sent Ether (ETH) to Beacon Depositor, moving 24,960 ETH, 34,560 ETH and 28,320 ETH. Whale Alert valued those transfers at about $215.4 million combined.
Tether (USDT) accounted for two other records worth about $212.8 million together. One sent 100,980,000 USDT, valued at $100.9 million, from Bitfinex to Tether Treasury. Another sent 112 million USDT, valued at $111.9 million, to Bitfinex.
A separate group of four Coinbase Institutional transfers on Oct. 19 produced an $8 million net outflow across those records. Neither that figure nor the Oct. 20 transaction destinations establishes that a purchase or sale occurred. The tracker’s labels also do not identify who controls the unidentified wallets.
