A $526.7 million inflow into U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds on Oct. 19 came as their average investor was estimated to be 2.6% below break-even.
The estimated break-even level was $84,358. It represents an average, so an individual investor's return depends on the price they paid rather than on that figure alone.
Farside Investors data show the Oct. 19 inflow followed $228.4 million in net withdrawals during the week ended Oct. 16, the second consecutive week of outflows. The new money reduced the funds' October net outflow to $88 million through Oct. 19, as EconoTimes reported in its coverage of the fund-flow reversal.
Fund flows measure money entering and leaving the ETFs; the break-even estimate concerns the price investors paid. The next ETF flow figures will indicate whether net buying continued after Oct. 19.
