U.S. voters are casting ballots in midterms that will set party control of both chambers for the next two years, with all 435 House seats contested, USAGov says.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) lists Nov. 3 as the general election date on its 2026 calendar. Each House term lasts two years, while Senate terms run six years on staggered schedules.

Midterm elections fall halfway between presidential contests; the next U.S. presidential election is scheduled for 2028. EconoTimes previously outlined the House and Senate control at stake in the vote.
