The UAE's Wage Protection System has added seven financial institutions, widening employers' choices for paying salaries and supporting a government effort to make wage transfers more efficient and reliable.

Under the enhanced system, employers need to provide 90% less data and can complete registration and wage transfers without an in-person visit or paperwork. Those changes reduce steps in the process.

MoHRE said the expansion aims to make wage payments more dependable and protect the rights of employers and employees. The ministry also said the update is intended to support stable employment relationships.
