UK Election updates: Reports of Conservatives preparing alternative plans as Labour Party outperforms

The United Kingdom’s ruling Conservative Party is reportedly working on a plan B, especially after election results have started showing better than anticipated strength. Labour Party is succeeding to hold on to seats, which Conservatives were hoping to flip. For example, Conservatives were hoping flip Darlington. In addition to that, UK’s junior finance minister Ellison loses Battersea seat to Labour Party. Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is now favorite to become the next Prime Minister. So far, the results have been a big upset for Prime Minister May.

So far, 57 seats have been announced. 30 victories for the Labour Party so far. 21 seats for the Conservatives. 3 seats each for the Scottish National Party and Democratic Unionist party.

Still, a long way ahead to reach the magic number (326).
