US June job openings probably dipped for the first time in three months

Echoing the reported pullback in the Conference Board's online help-wanted series, the number of available positions tallied by the BLS likely contracted by 73K to 5.29 million in June from the record high set in the preceding month.

"Of particular note, the gap between the two job postings series has almost completely evaporated from the "all-time" high of 1.16 million at the end of 2012", says Societe Generale.
