US Presidential Election Series: Path to the White House widens for Trump

Almost all the media and the pollsters agree that Donald Trump is on the momentum and the path to the White House keeps widening for Trump as it narrows for the Clintons. Donald Trump was already gaining grounds on Hillary Clinton in October but the latest revelation that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has opened Clinton email case again, just 11 days to the election is really doing the magic. Hillary Clinton is now leading Donald Trump, just by 1.3 percent in national polls (according to realclearpolitics.com average), compared to 7 points lead in mid-October.

The leads of Hillary Clinton in key battleground states are declining fast and in most areas, Donald Trump is now leading. Trump is now leading in Ohio, Nevada, Georgia, Iowa, and Arizona. Hillary Clinton is leading in Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine and Virginia. They are tied in Florida, and North Carolina.

According to the polls, Clinton is set to get 272 electoral votes and Donald Trump is set to get 222 electoral votes. 44 votes remain undecided. Just two weeks ago, Hillary Clinton was forecasted to win more than 300 electoral votes. We have forecasted in a previous article that Donald Trump will get at least 314 electoral votes.
