The durable goods orders in U.S. for the month of October likely had a rebound, from a decline in the months of August and September.
The commercial jets bookings increased by four times, which might have driven the transport orders nearly 10% higher. Hard goods orders probably scraped out a slight gain of 0.3%, which helped in recovering the last month's decline.
"Powered by an anticipated surge in transportation equipment requisitions, durable goods bookings likely climbed by 3.5% in October, recouping all but a fraction of the 4.1% decline recorded over the August-September span", estimates Societe Generale.
