Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence said its forces killed or wounded 302,000 Russian military personnel with drones through Oct. 25, as Kyiv uses verified strike counts in an equipment rewards program.
The ministry released the tally Oct. 27 and said it covered Jan. 1 through Oct. 25. It reported 29,572 personnel in January, 26,204 in February, 33,989 in March and 33,961 in April, followed by 30,548 in May, 27,072 in June, 30,272 in July, 29,554 in August and 32,739 in September. The count for Oct. 1-25 was 27,829. The monthly figures add to 301,740, which rounds to 302,000. March was the highest full month, by 28 over April.
The ministry did not break out how many personnel were killed versus wounded. The ministry said footage of each strike is recorded in DELTA and reviewed by Brave1, a Ukrainian defense innovation cluster.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine separately reported 46,230 Russian personnel losses in September. The ministry’s drone count for the month was about 71% of that total. The figures come from separate government tallies. EconoTimes previously covered Ukraine’s personnel-loss estimate through Oct. 21.
The ministry said service members can redeem points for verified hits through Brave1 Market for drones, electronic warfare systems and unmanned ground vehicles. It also said its Defence Procurement Agency DOT had contracted 300% more unmanned aerial vehicles in 2026 than in 2025.
The ministry said drone strikes can reduce Russian units’ combat effectiveness and slow their advance. It also said the attacks make it harder for Russian forces to approach Ukrainian positions.
