‘Vikings’ season 4’s episode 12, entitled “The Vision,” will feature Aslaug as she receives a premonition about Ragnar’s voyage to Wessex. She warns her son Ivar not to pursue the voyage as their fleet will be destroyed in a storm.
The synopsis for “The Vision” posted on Cartermatt stated, “The Kattegat locals chide Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) that the gods have deserted him as he struggles to crew his voyage to Wessex.
It’s Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) who has charisma now as he prepares to fulfill his long-held dream to explore the Mediterranean in a sleek new boat built for him by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard).
By contrast, Ragnar must accept weathered boats and a crew he has bribed but when Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) foresees that the fleet will be lost in a vicious storm, her warnings go un-heeded by Ragnar and her precious son, Ivar (Alex Hogh).”
It seems that Aslaug will receive a premonition of a shipwreck involving her son and her husband, according to Game N Guide. The promo opens with Ragnar attempting to convince people to work under him as warriors as he plans to raid England once more. His desperation is the result of his prior defeat since people are no longer enticed to follow their king to the ends of the earth.
Meanwhile, Ragnar’s loyal son Ivar the Boneless declares that he will ride with his father to their new mission. However, Aslaug warns that their fleet will be caught in a storm and will be lost at sea after she gets a premonition of things to come. Aslaug tells her son, “You can’t go! Everything will end in disaster. You will die, Ivar.”
The final scene in the promo shows Ragnar and his son in the middle of the ocean as they struggle to survive a bitter storm. It would be interesting to see if Aslaug’s prophecy does come true.
‘Vikings’ season 4’s episode 12, entitled “The Vision,” is scheduled to air on History on December 7, 2016. It will be followed by episode 13, entitled "Two Journeys."
