‘Vikings’ Season 6 Air Date, Speculations: 6th Installment Predicted to Premiere In April 2019

“Vikings” Season 6 is expected to make a huge plot divergence as the well-loved raiders are set to sail towards Russia and China. Show creators have always made sure that the storyline sticks close to what really happened in the past, and the journey of the sons of Ragnar will propel them to the known world.

The air date for “Vikings” Season 6 has yet to be announced given that the second part of its fifth installment hasn’t aired yet. But Otaku Art predicts that it will be sometime in 2019, perhaps around April.

“Vikings” Season 6 has already begun production and most of the scenes are being shot in the mountainous regions of County Wicklow, Ireland. The sixth installment has been green-lighted to have 20 episodes, to the tumultuous delight of fans.

The Historical drama has captured the imagination of worldwide audiences and is racking up viewer numbers of 7.8 million per episode. “Vikings” Season 6 is going to bring in more gore and tension, as well as the resolution of some of its plotlines while creating new conflicts at the same time.

It’s still unknown what storyline “Vikings” Season 6 will follow, which will largely depend on how the second part of season 5 will end. What worries the fans, however, is that a major character might be getting killed off.

The fears revolve around Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) and his absence during the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con 2018. The actor had been in constant attendance for four years in a row and him not being able to make the panel representing “Vikings” Season 6 might mean Floki might’ve gotten the ax.

The first part of season 5 showed that Floki is willing to sacrifice himself for the colony. What form of sacrifice the character is planning remains to be seen. But whatever path “Vikings” Season 6 will take, it will surely bring up History Channel’s ratings again once the show returns.
