Vnesheconombank (VEB), ANO Strategic Initiatives Agency (ASI), Young Professionals Union (Worldskills Russia) and Cyber Russia have signed an agreement on cooperation.
According to the terms of the agreement, the parties intend to develop long-term cooperation and to conduct joint expert and analytical activities, to conduct competitions for prospective projects, hackathons, as well as develop educational programmes for the training of blockchain experts, based on the Vnesheconombank Blockchain Competence Center.
The first joint project will be the international championship of the future professions "Ready for Future". The final event will be a hackathon in which the participants will apply their knowledge to real world applications. Within the championship, WorldSkills Russia experts will finalize the profiles of specialists in the digital economy, including the blockchain industry. The winners will be trained at the blockchain research center.
The championship will focus on latest and trending technologies including augmented and virtual reality, and blockchain technology.
"Support for innovative projects and the development of a high-tech sphere are VEB's priority areas of work. We unite the efforts of all interested parties and create the first Center of Blockchain Competencies in Russia, forming an ecosystem of innovations in Russia. The Russian blockchain developers and world leaders in innovative breakthrough industries will be brought here. We are pleased to be able to join forces with our partners in the framework of the agreement signed today. This will allow us to involve talented young people from all over Russia who will be able to attend both educational courses and internship [at] the Competence Center,” Vnesheconombank Chairman Sergey Gorkov said [loosely translated].
This latest collaboration comes on the heels of a recent partnership between Vnesheconombank and Ethereum Russia. Ethereum Russia will help support the development of the recently announced blockchain competence center at the National University of Science and Technology (MISIS).
