Russian regional officials reported three deaths and 39 injuries after a drone attack on Voronezh on Monday, while Ukrainian drone maker Fire Point said an FP-1 struck a Sibur synthetic rubber plant.

Fire Point identified the plant as Voronezhsintezkauchuk. In his initial statement, Voronezh Oblast Governor Aleksandr Gusev reported fires at several industrial facilities without naming them and said the fires had no significant consequences. Russian outlet ASTRA said video showed black smoke above the plant.

Gusev said air defenses destroyed 113 drones over Voronezh and nearby districts overnight and early Monday, including more than 70 over the city.

A later regional update said three children were among the 39 injured. Twelve people remained hospitalized, including three in intensive care.

Russian Railways said a carriage on the No. 11 Anapa-Moscow train was damaged at Somovo station. It gave a preliminary count of five injured passengers in the wider attack.

Sibur lists tire manufacturing among the uses for synthetic rubber made at Voronezhsintezkauchuk. Ukraine’s General Staff previously reported a Sept. 25 strike on the plant and alleged that it helps produce propellant for Iskander ballistic missiles.
