A Health Cluster/World Health Organization (WHO) Situation Report No. 10 says Yemen’s HEOC register recorded 658 conflict-related deaths and injuries from Oct. 26-30, above the preceding reporting period’s daily average.

The register listed 9,730 conflict-related deaths and injuries since August, with entries through Oct. 30: 1,771 deaths and 7,959 injuries. During the five-day period, it recorded 94 deaths and 564 injuries. That count averaged roughly 132 people killed or injured per day, compared with about 93 a day in the previous reporting period.

The report, issued Nov. 4, also cited International Organization for Migration (IOM) figures showing more than 300,000 people displaced as of Nov. 1. It said prices for essential goods in Taiz city had risen three- to fivefold.

The casualty register’s cutoff was Oct. 30, while the displacement figure was dated Nov. 1.
