Western Digital shares rose more than 7% in a 10:22 a.m. ET snapshot Tuesday, leading five storage and memory stocks that were all in positive territory in U.S. trading.

SanDisk gained more than 3%, while Seagate Technology's advance exceeded 4%. The increases for SK hynix and Micron Technology were both above 1%. Western Digital had the largest rise among the five stocks in the snapshot.
