HOUSTON, June 29, 2017 -- Leah Bennett, CFA, Chief Operating Officer of Westwood Trust, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals that promotes the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence.
Bennett was elected by the membership at the CFA Institute Annual Meeting on June 27 and her appointment will be effective September 1. Bennett, who is a co-founder of the CFA Institute Women in Investment Management initiative, is COO of Westwood Trust, a division of Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. (NYSE:WHG). She is just the fifth CFA governor from the State of Texas in the history of CFA Institute.
