Whale Alert now shows historical estimates of the market price when coins reached addresses across nearly 100 crypto assets, with separate views for short- and long-term address groups.
The company announced the addition Oct. 26 and says its estimates draw on billions of on-chain transactions. Users can compare historical figures for short- and long-term address groups and view a market-wide measure.
Whale Alert bases its estimates on the market price when coins reached an address. It classifies the address’s entire balance by its weighted average holding time: under six months for the short-term group and over six months for the long-term group. The resulting figure does not necessarily show what a holder actually paid for the coins.
The new data adds a price history to Whale Alert’s monitoring of large blockchain transfers. The company lists full analytics access at $29.95 a month and offers a seven-day trial.
