NEW YORK, April 18, 2018 -- WisdomTree Investments, Inc. (NASDAQ:WETF), an exchange-traded fund (“ETF”) and exchange-traded product (“ETP”) sponsor and asset manager, today announced that the WisdomTree Advisor Solutions platform was named Fund Innovation of the Year at the 2018 Mutual Fund Industry Awards. This award recognizes notable achievements that mark a departure from industry norms in areas such as product development, investment strategy, distribution, marketing campaigns and educational initiatives.
The WisdomTree Advisor Solutions platform, launched in October 2017, is a comprehensive offering focused on providing technology-enabled solutions to help advisors grow and scale their business. The program includes investment research and ETF education, portfolio construction services, ETF model portfolios, practice management resources, and wealth management technology.
Kurt MacAlpine, WisdomTree Global Head of Distribution, said, “We are honored to see our efforts in the advisor solutions space recognized at this year’s Mutual Fund Industry Awards. The Advisor Solutions platform is just one way we are helping financial intermediaries navigate an evolving industry landscape. We continually strive to innovate and develop solutions for advisors to meet the demands of their clients.”
Tom Skrobe, WisdomTree Head of Client Solutions added, “We know distributors have a wide array of choices when it comes to partnering with investment firms. WisdomTree is well-positioned to collaborate with the home offices and provide them with differentiated solutions to grow and scale their business.”
WisdomTree Inducted into Hall of Fame
In addition to the Fund Innovation award, WisdomTree was inducted into the Mutual Fund Industry Awards’ Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes firms or individuals who demonstrate excellence and success in the fund industry over the long term. It is an honor awarded to firms that have garnered three or more awards since the inception of the Mutual Fund Industry Awards.
DYLS Wins Alternative ETF of the Year
Lastly, the WisdomTree Dynamic Long/Short U.S. Equity Fund (DYLS) received the award for Alternative ETF of the Year. The Alternative ETF award is given to the most successful ETF providing exposure to non-traditional investments, such as real estate, commodities and liquid alternatives. Success is determined by a combination of several factors, such as flows, fund objectives and innovation.
The Mutual Fund Industry Awards recognize and reward the people and organizations whose excellence, achievements and contributions to the mutual fund industry have stood out over the past 12 months. This year, the awards included an expanded slate of categories recognizing the top performers and innovators in the growing ETF market.
The 25th annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards were presented at an evening ceremony and dinner on April 12, 2018 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.
