South Korean trading volume alone did not determine a crypto attention index on Oct. 20: Worldcoin (WLD) topped the 54-asset ranking even as XRP had a larger share of local trades.

Ripple USD (RLUSD) scored 82.0 points for third place, ahead of XRP’s 76.2 in sixth. Worldcoin led with 93.3, followed by Ondo (ONDO) at 86.1. NEAR and HBAR completed the top five with 79.1 and 78.9 points, respectively.

XRP accounted for 13.14% of trading among the tracked assets, or 120.81 billion won over 24 hours. Worldcoin had a 10.54% share and 96.85 billion won in trading. ONDO registered 2.75% and 25.29 billion won, while RLUSD had 1.74% and 15.99 billion won.

Coin Gukjang says its index measures attention through trading rather than page views. Actual trading volume anchors the score, which also considers domestic and global trading shares, local price premiums and recent changes in activity. The index covers assets listed on both South Korean and overseas exchanges. Its broader set of measures means the score need not follow the order of local trading volumes.

Stacks (STX) showed the greatest concentration of trading in South Korea relative to the global market: Its local trading share was reported at 46.3 times its global share. ONDO’s ratio was 31.3 times, followed by Worldcoin at 25.1, RLUSD at 15.1 and XRP at 11.2.

Coin Gukjang says a wider gap between an asset’s South Korean and global trading shares indicates disproportionately heavier local activity and can increase the potential for prices to diverge from overseas markets.

A day earlier, RLUSD had led the same index with 84 points. XRP and HBAR shared the next-highest score, 80.8, while STX’s reported domestic-to-global trading-share ratio stood at 43.9 times.
