“Wynonna Earp” season 3 is back, and not long after episode 1 premiered, it was announced that Syfy already renewed the show for another season. The TV channel ordered season 4 to follow after the third installment is completesd
The good news was announced during Saturday’s “Wynonna Earp” panel at the San Diego Comic Con. News of the series’s renewal was reported first by The Hollywood Reporter.
“We are absolutely delighted that Wynonna Earp has been renewed for a fourth season,” showrunner Emily Andras said. “We are so grateful to Syfy for their relentless and ferocious support of the series and the 'Earper' fandom.”
When the announcement was made, fans were so delighted and screams could be heard in the hall where the conference was being held. It was a big surprise for everyone since all that they were waiting for were a preview and details of “Wynonna Earp” season 3 but they got more than they wanted.
After seeing the fans' ecstatic reaction, Andas said that it was unbelievable that their show was already renewed when season 3 has just begun. Near the end of the conference, the showrunner thanked the fans for making it happen.
The cast also thanked their fans and the Syfy Network, and Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp) even jokingly yelled “No takebacks!” to the network’s reps and the fans applauded at her words. As per Syfy Wire, season 4 is coming in 2019 with 12 episodes.
Meanwhile, “Wynonna Earp” season 3 debuted on Syfy channel on July 20 and the first episode was titled “Blood Red and Going Down.” In this premiere telecast, Wynonna must figure out why a bus full of strangers visited their town. The visitors looked mesmerizingly odd and she must uncover their motive for coming before the townsfolk “[fell] under their spell.”
“Wynona Earp” season 3 episode 2, titled “When You Call My Name,” will follow and continue the story on July 27. Its synopsis reads, “The demon who cursed the Earp heir reveals himself in a shocking turn of events that will leave the team forever changed.”
Finally, the new “Wynonna Earp” season 3 cast members were revealed to include “Lost Girl” star Anna Silk. She will be starring in a guest role but her character has yet to be revealed. Megan Follows, who starred in “Reign,” will also be joining the cast lineup in the third season of the drama.
