The XRP Ledger recorded $14.09 billion in stablecoin transfers in Q3 2026, while its $1.03 billion balance showed the scale of assets held without proving proportional purchases of XRP (XRP).\n\nStablecoin balances exceeded $1 billion for the first time during the quarter. Ripple USD (RLUSD) made up $1.01 billion, or 98.1% of stablecoin liquidity on the ledger, so the reported total was dominated by one token.\n\nThe balance represents stablecoins held on the network; the transfer figure totals value moved during Q3. Transfer value is not a count of individual users, and it does not separate recurring commercial payments from other activity.\n\nXRP Ledger transactions require XRP for fees, and accounts must hold XRP reserves. Those requirements do not show that users bought XRP in proportion to stablecoin activity. EconoTimes' earlier coverage of what transfer totals show about purchases examined a similar distinction using a separate ledger metric.
