XRPSCAN’s metrics page labels the series as XRP (XRP) payment volume from one account to another. The figure records ledger activity, but does not identify whether a transfer involved a purchase or sale, and one day’s reading cannot establish a lasting change in network use.
Santiment’s daily dollar transaction-volume metric is a separate measure. It values tokens at the time of each transfer and includes payments and wallet-to-wallet movements. EconoTimes’ earlier review of the metric noted that repeated routing can add multiple entries for the same XRP.
