Xiaomi said its humanoid robot attempted an eight-hour factory sorting operation, while a separate apartment trial tested a home system across three rooms and more than 50 tasks.

The factory work involved center-console side covers, responding to problems and coordinating with production-line systems. Xiaomi did not say the robot completed the full eight-hour operation.

The company presented both trials at the 2026 World Internet Conference. The home test took place at Xiaomi youth apartments and used Xiaomi-Robotics-1. In a session exceeding 30 minutes, the system carried out more than 50 tasks across three rooms.

Xiaomi-Robotics-1 drew on 100,000 hours of real-operation trajectories for pretraining. July leaderboard results placed the model first in both RoboCasa 365 and RoboDojo.
