Yandex Withdraws 2026 Forecasts After Data Center Attacks

The company said the October attacks made it harder to assess financial results for the rest of the year. They occurred after the third quarter and did not affect its reported results.

Yandex withdrew its 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA forecasts after October attacks at several data centers complicated the company’s assessment of its financial results for the rest of the year.

For the quarter ending Sept. 30, revenue reached 410.6 billion rubles, a 12% increase from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose at the same rate to 87.8 billion rubles.

Net income came to 42.5 billion rubles, up 23%, while adjusted net income was 45.9 billion rubles, a 2% rise. Yandex reports these as separate measures.

In July, the company had projected full-year revenue growth of about 20% and adjusted EBITDA near 350 billion rubles. Yandex withdrew both forecasts on Oct. 29 and has not put a financial value on the damage.

Yandex said its Sasovo center was attacked overnight Oct. 7-8, its Kaluga center on Oct. 9 and its Vladimir center overnight Oct. 10-11. The Associated Press reported that Ukrainian drone strikes hit the three sites; Yandex’s own updates did not identify the attacker.

The incidents came after the quarter had closed, and Yandex said they did not affect its third-quarter results. The company said users and business customers could again use essential functions across its services, while technical teams continued recovery work. Yandex also said the Vladimir strike disrupted some Yandex Pay functions, including balance checks, payments and transfers, as described in EconoTimes’ earlier report on Yandex Pay disruptions.

Yandex said it plans to spread operations more broadly to make its infrastructure more resilient. The company reported investment of 115 billion rubles in the first nine months of 2026 and said it does not plan to raise capital spending this year, citing earlier investment in reserve capacity and equipment.

Yandex may consider issuing forecasts from next quarter, but it has not set a date or committed to new guidance.
