Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu said AI agents could execute most cryptocurrency trades, while people would shape their decisions by adding context and retaining control over sensitive personal data.

In an Oct. 14 podcast interview with Cointelegraph, Siu said users might not need to approve every transaction. They could instead add context they believe an agent has missed. He said questions asked after an initial prompt can lead an agent toward a different trading model, citing China, the United States and the war in Iran as examples of issues a user might ask it to consider.

Siu said market moves can reflect more than valuation measures. Online appeal, possible network effects and emotions such as hope or despair may also influence prices, he said, leaving a role for human judgment in trading decisions.

He also described agents taking on routine personal tasks, from scheduling and travel to finding ways to spend less on groceries. Siu presented blockchain as a possible way for users to retain control over their agents and the data associated with them.

He warned that service providers could cut off access under their terms and may use submitted personal information to train models. Siu said users should regard AI services as external parties and exclude details that are not needed, such as names, when submitting information. He identified résumés and bank statements as examples of sensitive documents.

Siu said losing an agent could also mean losing years of context about a person’s health, work and market decisions, a disruption he compared with losing a smartphone.
