The Yemen Network for Rights and Freedoms said it recorded 21 alleged Houthi crimes and violations in Taiz over 24 hours, including two child deaths and three civilian injuries, Anadolu Agency reported. The group said two of the injured civilians were women.

The network also reported that four residents were abducted and about 213 projectiles were fired toward residential neighborhoods. In al-Hujariya, south of Taiz, three homes were raided and looted, it said. Seven homes were damaged, including two that were destroyed.

Restrictions on civilian movement and access to essential supplies continued alongside shelling, the group said. It called for international action to protect residents and warned that the crisis was increasingly straining people and health facilities.

Anadolu Agency reported that the Houthis had not immediately commented on the accusations. It described the July escalation as the most extensive since the relative calm that followed the April 2022 truce.

A separate, longer-period count from the United Nations Human Rights Office covers the whole governorate. The office said it verified 32 civilian deaths from Aug. 1 to Oct. 19, including 14 children, and 115 civilian injuries. The earlier UN tally for Taiz records those figures. The U.N. count spans nearly three months, while the network’s account covers 24 hours.
